Who are sopo?

SOPO, Previously known as RSL CLUB Southport, is a world-class entertainment, dining, and gaming club in the heart of Southport. Looking to revitalise themselves and step away from the traditional image of an RSL, RSL Club Southport sought out the help of BRANDiT to help them undergo a full rebrand and SOPO was born.

Over the past 12 months, the club has invested approximately $1.8 million into long overdue refurbishment of the ground level of the venue. Stage 2 renovations are due for completion early 2023 on level 1 and include an open-air style bar and updated facilities. This is a multi-million-dollar project with 6 zones being the focus.

Michelle was brought into this project to help guide the RSL through the whole rebrand process from Name Selection through to Wallpaper, 8 x logo suites for newly named entertainment zones and most importantly the Cocktail Menu taste testing. We were involved in every step and worked hand in hand with the amazing team at SOPO to bring their new brand and new vision to life. We continue to work with SOPO and look forward to announcing the stage 2 works.

PUBLIC RELATIONs

We were tasked with managing SOPO’s launch (formerly Southport RSL) campaign and organising a Media Launch to announce their new name to the public and share the exciting details around their new renovations and plans for the future. An expert PR Strategy was needed to ensure the key messages were communicated clearly and creatively to the media. We positioned the announcement around the idea of SOPO becoming the future “heart of Southport”, and the story was eagerly picked up by news outlets, becoming the talk of the town!
